Social Fundraising

What is it?

The practice of funding a project or venture by raising monetary contributions from a large number of people, typically via the internet. Individuals can start campaigns to support their own projects and initiatives, or on behalf of a charity. They raise money for the specified cause by encouraging their own networks to give.

How can I help?

You don’t have to be a professional fundraiser to help raise money for NMAC! All you have to do is click the button below that says “Start or Join a Fundraiser!” You can create your own fundraising campaign. Starting your own fundraiser is so simple that anyone can do it. You’ll be prompted to create a profile and enter some information about yourself and the reason you are fundraising for NMAC, upload a picture, and then blast out the link via email and social media.

You’ll want to customize your fundraiser to explain your personal connection to HIV and why you are raising money for NMAC. Your  friends and family will understand and support things that are important to you, so be clear and honest when you are posting to Facebook, Twitter, or sending emails.
